About Erica Kroll, M.Ed., LPC
About me
I'm Erica Kroll, a licensed professional counselor in Columbia, Missouri. I provide counseling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions, whatever season of life you are in. Alongside my general practice, I bring a distinctive depth of experience with the childbearing year: I have worked with pregnant and postpartum families for more than 25 years, first as a birth doula, childbirth educator, and prenatal yoga teacher, and since 2012 as a counselor.
My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in evidence-based care. I am trained in EMDR for trauma-focused work, and I believe counseling works best when you feel genuinely safe, seen, and unhurried.
I earned my Master of Education in Counseling Psychology, with a graduate minor in Women's and Gender Studies, from the University of Missouri in 2010. I earned my professional license working with survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence as program coordinator at True North of Columbia, and I have been in private practice since 2012.
Today I provide general counseling for adults across Missouri through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, with a special focus on the childbearing year: preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting. I welcome LGBTQ+ clients and support parents of all identities as they navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.

I enjoy weaving, native plants, gardening, foraging, and reconstructing native habitats. You’ll probably meet The Mayor, my studio cat, and notice the looms I weave on in the background during our sessions.
I am currently accepting new clients. Contact me to schedule a first session.
